During the past years, I have somehow changed from the girl who did a crazy amount of shopping (girls still remember that huge walk-in closet I had full of clothes and shoes in Joensuu?) to someone who is buying less and less. For sure it has a lot to do with the fact, that I have found more my own style, but also I value so different things nowadays. I want to buy less and think about the quality. And most of all, I am trying to build my closet in a way, that everything I have there, is my favourite. This has lead to a situation where I plan so much more what I am buying. I am not saying I am not doing spontaneous shopping, but when I have a list in my mind, I end up buying fewer clothes which are not fitting with my needs, and existing pieces. So what do I have in my spring cravings list?
The biggest craving at the moment is a pair of crazy shiny silver sneakers. Even glitter sneakers could be nice, but let’s see what I will find! Even though I am all black everything black kind of girl, blush pink and softer tones have caught my eye. Maybe a t-shirt in old rose colour, or even a jacket? I am also in a need of easy and simple everyday shirts, and white feels like a good idea right now. I absolutely love my vintage Ray-Bans, but at the moment I want sunglasses which are bigger, softer and little less classy. Probably & Other Stories will give me a solution to this, as I saw a lot of nice sunnies there the past week. And lastly, but definitely, not least I am searching silver-toned glitter socks. They will work perfectly with my Jeffrey Campbell cut out boots (similar to these ones) I think.
What’s on your spring shopping list?

This summer feels so long and so short same time, as the autumn is bringing so much change in my life. The last six weeks in Finland started for me today, and finally it is starting to feel real that I am moving to Netherlands next month. I got my one way ticket, I got room from shared apartment and everything else starts to be also ready. I will be writing later about the practical arrangements you need to do when moving abroad, but today I want to concentrate on something more fun. As Netherlands is situated in a perfect location in Europe, I am planning to visit many other countries this upcoming fall. So destinations 2016 – Where to go this autumn?
I did a map to highlight some of the destinations I am planning to visit this autumn. I marked Netherlands with black, as it is where I will be staying most of the time. I am planning to travel around Netherlands and get to know the country well. With red I marked those destinations I am sure to visit, and with purple I marked those which are still a question mark. Of course you never know what will happens once you get there, so this is just a plan – but I can assure you that this autumn my blog will be full of travel stories from these, or some other places.
I marked as a sure to visit in my map Belgium, Luxembourg, Paris, October fest in Germany and England. Breda is so close to Belgium that it would be stupid not to visit it while living next to it. Also Luxembourg is so close that I feel it is an obvious destination for me. October fest in Germany is something we are planning together with my friend as there are few of our German friends who would love us to go there with them. Also knowing that you can go to Paris (my all time favorite) with a train only in 3 hours makes Paris a sure destination for me. This is something why I love Netherlands already, everything really is so close. And then there is England as we have some friends / relatives there who would like us to visit them, so why not to go when we are so close to them?
Beside these I added Switzerland and Denmark to my map as these two are countries I would like to visit some point in my life. But as they are not that close to Netherlands I am still not sure my timetable and budget will allow me to visit them. But we will see, especially now when we have talked little about spending January traveling and coming back home little later than originally planned. So lets see where I will end up!
Which destinations are you planning to visit this autumn?
For me Christmas is so much more than just few days in the end of December, it is a season full of wonderful moments. I love to plan and do different kind of projects, so for sure this is my favorite season. There is the Christmas parties, seasonal food, cards, calendars, candles, decorations, gifts and and and..so it is time to start planning this years holiday season so I can enjoy it as much as possible.
For me the first step is to get inspiration and have some kind of idea about everything I want to have the coming season. This evening I will play Christmas music the first time this year, and go deep in the magical world of Pinterest. I go through first my Natale -file, and then start to look for more inspiration around Pinterest. This part is so much fun, and I can spend a whole evening looking for nice ideas and getting exited about the coming season. Is there anyone else who is doing this before holidays?
In the photos I collected from Pinterest for this post there is this light and soft atmosphere, which I want for our Christmas this year also. Something natural, something easy and little pit vintage. After this evenings inspiration and planning session I will be posting later here more detailed ideas about some of the holiday season projects I will do. I hope to give you all a little inspiration, and that you can start to enjoy the season already with me!
